President Donald Trump eldest daughter Ivanka Trump made her first trip to Germany as an official adviser, where she made her debut at a debate alongside a panel that consists of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, IMF chief Christine Lagarde and Canadian foreign minister Chrystia Freeland.
However, Trump didn’t fail to make a style statement, with a pair of eye-catching mismatched earrings and an elegant white dress for a gala dinner at Deutsche Bank in Berlin on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old wore asymmetrical earrings worth of $600 that came from Italian luxury fashion label, Marni. With a set of unmatched earrings, the luxury brand has made an increasingly popular trend among the fashion. The larger of the two earrings, which are made from glass stone, brass and rhinestones, was over 4in long.
First Daughter sat next to chancellor Merkel, who also appeared in white and both happily posed together for photos during the dinner. Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to spot Ivanka’s mismatched earrings that began making a fashion statement.
Although she made a great fashion statement at the event she still received criticism for her role in White House. There was a peaceful protest outside the building against President Trump and his policies as well as Ivanka’s appointment as an adviser to his administration. The demonstrators appeared with placards that read “No to nepotism”.
Ivanka was invited to Germany by chancellor Merkel to participate in the Women20 summit, an international event promoting economic empowerment for women. However, she did nothing to empower women.
